I had no idea what to expect at the start but it was one of the best experiences I had with a creative course! The teachers are very passionate and patient, and guided us well throughout the course. It was a lot of information both practical and theoretical but the alternation between the two was well planned. I’ve learned so much in a short amount of time. The location and atmosphere were also fantastic, the Frisian house with comfortable beds and shared spaces, eating together (Marieke is a great cook) and we had loads of fun together. Definitely recommended! Thanks so much.

“I had a great time at Holland Film Farm. I learned a lot of useful things for making a short documentary and met some nice people as well. Even though it was short it was also intense and I found it amazing how we got to use the theoretical things we learned immediately the next day. If you’re interested in learning how documentaries are made overall you should definitely do this course.”

We were warmly welcomed at Ton and Marieke’s beautiful farm in the Frisian countryside.  The skilled and experienced teachers Ton, Kathinka and Ian taught us the basics of documentary making.  The theory, but also the practice, which resulted in the making of a short documentary.  I have been so excited and inspired by this course that I have already purchased some equipment.  Ready to film my own first documentary.
